Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Carrying Case - WS48ZR

Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look together at our Weigh Safe carrying case for your adjustable Weigh Safe aluminum ball mounts and components. So folks, I wanna start off with saying you're just getting this case and inside of here I'm about to show you there's two two inch black plastic inserts and two two and a half inch black plastic inserts. That's all that you're getting. The rest of these are just for display and demo purposes only. So let's get into it.

So you got your Weigh Safe Ball mounts, the 180 the Weigh Safe gauge, all that kind of stuff, extra ball, locks. Where do you put 'em Right here, folks. So the Weigh Safe carrying case here, very, very nice, elegant, hard plastic. It's gonna let you store your Weigh Safe aluminum drop hitches and accessories. And if it's the 180 turnover and Weigh Safe ball mounts, it is not compatible with their steel products.

Again, not compatible with their steel products. Now as you can see, everything is pre-molded, form fitted for easy installation and use. So let's go ahead and show you what we got going on here. So I'm actually pretty impressed with this case, the fact that it's all, you know, pre-molded and everything and they got these little black inserts that pop in. They simply just push in, they kind of snap into place.

I dunno if you could hear that or not. And that helps fill in the gap so that this ball mount shank is not rattling back and forth in the case. So I'm gonna go ahead and pull all these components out here real quick just so I can kind of show you better how they go, where they go and these adapters that come with it. Alright, so like I said, folks, you're getting two two inch black inserts. They have two inch molded onto the plastic and two two and five inch or two and a half inch black plastic inserts molded again.

So you don't need these if you're only putting in, let's say a three inch shank. So again, if you do a three inch shank, you don't need inserts. It simply goes right in there and as you can see, it's perfectly molded, goes right in place, you'll be able to close it, no problem. So again, I'm gonna put that three inch off to the side here and I'm gonna put one of these two inch ones in here. Just simply push it down. The other two inch one that came with it goes in the top of the lid and now the two inch shank can go in and fit flush, and then that's gonna hold it in place again from rattling back and forth. Now as you can see, I think I've got the, I believe the eight inch drop here. You can fit in here the all shank sizes that are aluminum, so the two inch, two and a half inch shank, the three inch shanks, the four, six, and eight and 10 inch drops, all of those are gonna fit in here nice and snug. So let's swap out the two inch ones for the two and a half inch and let's put that bad boy in there. So I got the four inch one here, fits nice and snug, and I took out the safe is what I had in there originally. So let's do the 180. So you can only carry either the 180 or the safe head in here. You cannot do both at the same time, but you can do one or the other. So if you own both, you may wanna pick up two cases if that's your cup of tea. Otherwise you'll probably have to just pick one and put it in there. So let me get this ball back in place here. Okay, so I got my 180. That fits in there nice, no problems. And let's see, I got my hitch pin lock that snaps in. I've got the dual pin lock that's gonna snap in and I've got two sets of keys that are keyed alike for those two, they simply drop in that area or wherever you wanna put 'em. And then I've got the rubber dust cover, again, I could put that on there or I can just toss it in. I could put the two extra adapters down in here and let's say that's all I had. So I just simply lapse those shut. Now I'm on my way and I can do what I need to do and everything is nice, tight, neat, in position. I open 'em back up and I'll quickly switch over to, let's say from the 180 to the Weigh Safe scale one, the built in scale, extra ball fits right here in that perfectly molded slot again, no problems, I can close it up and again on my way.
